RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces today imposed a curfew on the village of Umm Safa, west of Ramallah, according to a local official. The head of the Umm Safa village council, Marwan Sabah, said during a telephone call with WAFA that an Israeli army foot patrol stormed the village from the eastern and western sides, forced owners to close their shops and imposed a curfew, preventing residents from leaving their homes Sabah added that the occupation forces stormed a house under construction in the center of the village after breaking down its doors, and used the house as a military outpost, attacking residents and their homes with stun grenades and tear gas canisters, which caused several suffocation cases among residents. The village's eastern and western entrances have been closed by the Israeli occupation since the start of its aggression on October 7, 2023; one entrance was sealed with earth mounds and the other with an iron gate, which forced citizens to take an alternative road through neighboring v illages. This alternative road was also closed by the Israeli forces this evening. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
