Israeli Forces Establish Military Checkpoint Near Ramallah, Causing Traffic Disruptions

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint on Saturday at the entrance to the village of Yabrud, east of Ramallah. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers established the checkpoint at the village entrance, known as the "Yabrud Bridge," where they stopped Palestinian vehicles, inspected passengers' identification cards, and caused severe traffic congestion in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli authorities maintain approximately 1,000 checkpoints and military gates throughout the West Bank. These checkpoints and gates effectively fragment Palestinian movement between cities and towns. Since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran, these military checkpoints and gates have been subject to significant tightening, further restricting the movement of Palestinians.
