Israeli Forces Enforce Store Closures in Nablus Governorate Village

Nablus: Israeli occupation forces ordered the closure of stores in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiyya village, situated south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, on Tuesday evening. This directive was issued during an incursion by the forces, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the forces entered the village and compelled business owners to shut down their stores shortly before the Maghrib prayer. During this raid, soldiers fired rounds of gunfire, concussion bombs, and tear gas canisters at the villagers and their vehicles.

The occupation forces conduct raids across Palestinian houses in the West Bank almost daily. These operations are often justified under the claim of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, leading to frequent clashes with residents.

These raids are executed without the need for a search warrant, at any time or place chosen by the military, under their extensive arbitrary powers. Israeli military law grants army commanders full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, leaving Palestinians without any influence over the exercise of this authority.
