Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday detained several Palestinian workers at the Mazmuriyeh checkpoint, south of Jerusalem. A viral video footage documented the moment the occupation forces rounded up several workers from inside a truck at the permanently-staffed checkpoint, also known as the Khallet a-Nu'man checkpoint.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the footage showed soldiers stopping the workers, ordering them out of the truck, and then taking them to an unknown destination. In a related incident, the occupation forces also detained a Palestinian from Jiljilyya village, north of Ramallah, identified as a villager of Sinjil.
The detentions have sparked concerns over the treatment of Palestinian workers at checkpoints and the lack of transparency regarding their destinations after being taken into custody. The incidents underscore ongoing tensions in the region and highlight the daily challenges faced by Palestinians under occupation.
