Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces on Monday detained a Jerusalemite activist and his wife in the town of Issawiya, northeast of occupied Jerusalem. Local sources reported that the occupation forces pursued the activist, Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, and held him and his wife for several hours at the eastern entrance of Issawiya.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the occupation forces also bulldozed land belonging to a local resident, Farouk Mustafa, confiscating his machinery and equipment. In addition, the forces stormed Mustafa’s home. The town experienced a significant military presence as the occupation forces stormed Issawiya and closed its entrances, leading to heightened tension in the area.
