Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday evening detained Jerusalemite activist Mohammad Abu al-Hummus from the Bab Hutta area, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the Old City of Jerusalem. Local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces stopped Abu al-Hummus while he was in the vicinity of Bab Hutta, before taking him to one of the interrogation centers in the city.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this detention comes amid escalating Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem. These developments coincide with tightened restrictions on worshippers' access to Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan and an increased military presence around the Old City and its gates.
