Hebron: Israeli occupation forces on Thursday briefly detained a group of foreign activists in the village of Umm al-Khair, located in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron, as reported by local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident took place when Israeli soldiers, along with colonists, intercepted the activists who were documenting ongoing incidents against local Palestinian residents. Witnesses stated that several of the detained activists were made to sit on the ground under the sun for an extended duration.
The presence of the activists in the area was intended as a show of solidarity with the local community, which has been experiencing repeated settler violence and threats of displacement.
