Israeli Forces Detain 18 Palestinians from West Bank.

Ramallah: Israeli forces have detained 18 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, escalating tensions in the region. The Israeli occupation forces reportedly apprehended at least 15 individuals, including a child and a student, over the past 24 hours, highlighting a significant surge in detention operations. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, these detentions occurred across several cities, including Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jenin, Nablus, and Jerusalem. The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission, along with the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), confirmed in a joint statement that the operations were marked by widespread raids. These operations were reportedly accompanied by abuse, assaults, threats against detainees and their families, and vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes. In addition to the detentions, Israeli forces have continued to conduct field investigations in various towns, utilizing citizens' homes as temporary military barrac ks. These field investigations have seen a significant increase recently, affecting hundreds of young men across all governorates. The PPS and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission have noted that the total number of Palestinians detained in the West Bank since October 7th has exceeded 11,800. This number includes those apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, individuals who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.
