Tubas: Israeli occupation forces have initiated the demolition of several Palestinian homes in the Umm al-Jimal community, located in the northern Jordan Valley. This action follows the displacement of residents from the area three months ago. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mutaz Basharat, the official responsible for the Jordan Valley file in Tubas Governorate, confirmed that the demolitions began on homes that remained after the community's families were displaced in August. The displacement affected 14 families who were forced to leave due to increasing attacks by colonists. The colonists had previously established a pastoral colonial outpost near the homes in Umm al-Jimal, leading to daily attacks under the protection of Israeli forces. These escalations aim to permanently displace Palestinian residents and seize control of the area. The Jordan Valley and the eastern slopes of the West Bank have seen increasing targeting by occupation authorities and settlers, further exacer bating tensions and displacement in the region.
