Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces demolished two homes in the town of Ni'lin, west of Ramallah, on Monday morning. Local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers demolished the homes of brothers Nael and Raed Reda Surur after storming the town and surrounding the two houses.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Raed Surur stated that the two three-story homes, each covering an area of 200 square meters, housed 20 people. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has warned against the policy of demolishing citizens' homes, viewing it as an attempt to restrict Palestinian construction and natural growth in Palestinian villages and towns. This policy is carried out under the pretext of lacking permits and aims to displace Palestinians and isolate them in narrow cantons and enclaves.
The occupation authorities carried out 58 demolitions during the month of March, impacting 87 structures, including 39 inhabited homes, 6 uninhabited homes, and 26 agricultural and other structures. Additionally, during the same period, 46 Palestinian facilities were notified of impending demolitions. These notices were concentrated in Tulkarm Governorate with 20, Jenin Governorate with 8, Bethlehem with 6, and Hebron with 6.
