Israeli Forces Demolish Home of Palestinian Detainee Near Hebron

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday demolished the house of Palestinian prisoner Thabet Masalma in the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron, leading to clashes that resulted in injuries to several citizens.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a substantial military force surrounded Masalma's residence, restricted access to the area for residents, and proceeded to plant explosives inside the house, which were then detonated, completely destroying the structure.

The raid sparked confrontations between the IOF and local youth, during which Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, injuring two individuals in their lower extremities. In addition to these injuries, dozens of residents suffered from tear gas inhalation as IOF troops deployed the gas heavily in the vicinity.

The IOF allege that Masalma was involved in a shooting incident approximately eight months prior at the al-Khader junction, which resulted in the death of one colonist and injuries to three others.
