Tulkarm: Israeli occupation forces Tuesday demolished agricultural greenhouses in the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, farmer Ahmed Yaqoub reported that Israeli forces, accompanied by three military bulldozers, demolished five dunams of greenhouses planted with vegetables. The action resulted in significant losses to the farmers involved.
Yaqoub explained that these greenhouses served as a vital source of livelihood for him, his brothers, and his children. He recounted that the greenhouses had previously been damaged in June of last year when flares fired by occupation soldiers caused them to burn. Despite efforts to rehabilitate and replant the area, the greenhouses were completely destroyed once again.
