Israeli Forces Continue Military Incursion in Al-Mughayyir Village

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces have persisted in a significant military raid on the village of Al-Mughayyir, located northeast of Ramallah, since early Thursday morning. The operation has involved attacks on residents, destruction of property, and damage to agricultural lands.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ameen Abu Elayya, head of the village council, stated that the Israeli army has sealed off the village's two main entrances, obstructing movement in or out, including for emergency ambulances. Troops compelled local shop owners to close their establishments and imposed severe restrictions on residents' movements within the village.

Abu Elayya reported that the Israeli military has deployed reinforcements, including infantry units, throughout the village. Soldiers have been observed spreading across neighborhoods, with several parked vehicles sustaining damage during the raid, as evidenced by video footage from the ground. Additionally, soldiers have stormed several homes, including that of the family of martyr Hamdan Mousa Abu Elayya, who was killed last Saturday evening. Residents have reported being assaulted during these home invasions.

Abu Elayya recounted an incident where, following reports of an attack on the martyr's family, a phone call was made to one of the sons. The call was answered by an Israeli soldier, and screams were heard in the background, indicating the family was under assault. Local sources confirmed that two young men from the Abu Elayya household suffered fractures and bruises due to severe beatings.

The village council is actively engaging with international organizations in an effort to secure access for medical teams to homes where emergency assistance is needed. Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers have begun leveling farmland east of the village, adjacent to Route 458. This area, predominantly planted with olive trees, is being systematically destroyed. Abu Elayya reported that six Israeli military vehicles, including three armored bulldozers, were dispatched to the area, where hundreds of olive trees have already been uprooted and over 2,000 dunums of land are being razed by Israeli forces.
