Tulkarm: Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday assaulted a university student near the Kadoorie roundabout in the western neighborhood of Tulkarm, detaining another individual in the process. Eyewitnesses reported that the forces arrested Izz al-Din Mukhalafa, a veterinary medicine student at the Faculty of Agriculture, An-Najah University. The soldiers severely beat him and destroyed his cell phone.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the soldiers took Mukhalafa with them, later releasing him near Dalhoum intersection, west of the city, after throwing him on the street. Residents quickly called for an ambulance, and Mukhalafa was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its crews in Tulkarm attended to a young man who had been severely beaten by the occupation forces near Khadouri University. He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Additionally, the occupation forces detained a school student near Jamal Abdel Nasser Square in the city center, although his identity was not disclosed. They also detained a group of young men at the Shahid Junction in the eastern neighborhood, subjecting them to field interrogation.
These incidents are part of ongoing violations by the occupation forces against citizens in the Tulkarm Governorate, as the aggression on the city and its two camps continues for the 72nd consecutive day.
