Yabad: Israeli occupation forces on Friday evening assaulted and briefly detained two Palestinian children while they were playing in the street in the town of Yabad, south of Jenin. The incident has raised concerns over the treatment of minors in conflict zones.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces stormed the town and deployed military vehicles throughout its streets, resulting in the severe beating of the two children who were playing outdoors. The children were then detained inside a military vehicle for a period of time before being released.
In addition to this incident, Israeli forces detained two other minors, both aged 15, as they stood in front of a shop in the town. The actions of the Israeli forces have sparked outrage among local residents and human rights observers.
Furthermore, Israeli forces also raided the nearby town of Jaba', where they patrolled the streets and vandalized a memorial dedicated to a slain Palestinian who was killed by Israeli forces. The desecration of the memorial has added to the tensions in the region.
