Israeli Forces and Settlers Clash with Palestinian Olive Harvesters in Kafr Ra’i

Kafr ra'i: Israeli forces and settlers attacked Palestinian olive pickers in the town of Kafr Ra'i, south of Jenin. Local sources reported that the attack occurred while farmers were engaged in harvesting olives in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, several settlers, protected by Israeli soldiers, initiated the attack. The forces then joined in, opening live fire toward the olive pickers to force them off their lands. This confrontation is part of a broader pattern of targeting agricultural lands during the annual olive harvest season, disrupting farmers' work and causing significant material losses.

The ongoing conflict has had severe consequences for Palestinian farmers. Since October 7, 2023, settlers have carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their properties. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of 33 Palestinians and the damaging or uprooting of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees, as reported by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
