Israeli Forces and Settlers Attack Palestinian Olive Harvesters in Jenin

Jenin: Israeli army and colonists launched a separate attack on Thursday against Palestinian olive pickers in the town of Kafr Ra'i, south of Jenin, according to a local official.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Kafr Ra'i Mayor Ghassan Daraghmeh reported that dozens of colonists from the illegal colonial outpost of Dotan, supported by the Israeli occupation army, attacked Palestinian farmers attempting to access their lands for olive harvesting.

Daraghmeh stated that the Jenin Governorate, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Wall and Settlement Authority, organized an event aimed at assisting olive pickers in reaching lands restricted by Israeli authorities.

He further explained that Israeli forces used live ammunition and tear gas canisters against the Palestinian farmers and participants of the event. The participants included Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rab, his deputy Mansour al-Saadi, the head of the Wall Resistance Authority, Mu'ayyad Shaaban, and members of the Kafr Ra'i municipality.
