Gaza: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday committed two massacres against two families in the northern and central Gaza Strip, killing 17 civilians, including children and women.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupation forces targeted families in the northern and central regions, resulting in the deaths of 14 citizens, among them children and women.
In the Saftawi neighborhood, north of Gaza City, an Israeli warplane raid struck the Al-Arbid family home, resulting in the deaths of eight members and injuring several others. Additionally, six citizens from the Aqeelan family were killed in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, after their home was similarly targeted by Israeli airstrikes.
Further incidents occurred in the southern Gaza Strip, where two citizens were killed by Israeli shelling and fire in the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis. Another young man was killed by an Israeli drone in the town of Al-Fakhari. On the previous evening, three more citizens were killed, and dozens were wounded by Israeli forces' fire west of Rafah.
WAFA correspondents reported that 46 injured individuals arrived at the Red Cross Hospital in Rafah following Israeli artillery shelling and gunfire on citizens waiting for aid west of the city. Since March 2, the occupation has continued its policy of systematically starving approximately 2.4 million citizens in the Gaza Strip by closing crossings to aid supplies, causing severe humanitarian distress.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation's actions in the Gaza Strip have led to the deaths of 54,056 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and injuries to 123,129 others. This is a preliminary toll, with many victims still trapped under rubble and in inaccessible areas, posing challenges for ambulances and rescue teams.
