Tubas: Israeli colonists Wednesday evening stormed Khirbet Humsa at-Tahta village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to a human rights activist. Aref Daraghmeh reported that the colonists entered the village, photographed the dwellings, and checked the residents' ID cards. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier in the day, occupation forces had seized a solar energy system along with a trailer and ransacked several dwellings in the village. The incident is part of a larger pattern of colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, which is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Such violence by colonists typically includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among other acts. Currently, there are over 700,000 Israeli colonists residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
