Jenin: Israeli colonists on Wednesday stormed the Jaba'a (Sanur) water station in the occupied West Bank governorate of Jenin for the second time, aiming to seize water resources, according to the Palestinian Water Authority.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this incursion comes amid a surge of Israeli attacks targeting water facilities across various governorates, posing a direct threat to the safety of technical crews and disrupting essential services.
The Jaba'a station serves approximately 50,000 people in the villages of southern Jenin, including Jaba, Al-Fandaqumiya, Sanur, Ajjah, Anzah, az-Zawiya, Fahma, ar-Rama, Wadi Da'quq, al-Mansura, and the Joint Services Council.
The Palestinian Water Authority emphasized that its crews continue to work to ensure a sustained water supply under all circumstances. The authority called upon international bodies and relevant institutions to fulfill their responsibilities by safeguarding water facilities and crews, halting repeated attacks, ensuring the continued provision of water services, and safeguarding Palestinians' right to safe and sustainable water access.
