Israeli Colonists Graze Livestock on Palestinian Lands in Masafer Yatta

Masafer yatta: Israeli colonists released their livestock to graze on lands planted with seedlings and fruit trees in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron, in a new attack on Palestinian property in the southern West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that a group of colonists from the illegal outpost of Mitzpe Yair and neighboring settlement outposts, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, released their cattle onto residents' lands. These lands were planted with seedlings and almond and olive trees in the villages of Aqwawis, Al-Fakhit, and Al-Halawa.

Makhamreh affirmed that the colonists also seized a water well owned by the Abu Aram family in the village of Aqwawis. The residents were banned from accessing it, which is seen as an attempt to seize their land for the expansion of colonies.

Makhamreh called on international and human rights organizations to intervene to halt the armed practices of the occupation and colonists and to prevent the daily attacks on defenseless citizens in Masafer Yatta.
