Israeli Colonists Establish New Outpost in Khan al-Ahmar, East of Jerusalem

Jerusalem: Israeli colonists established a new outpost on Thursday evening in the Khan al-Ahmar area, a Bedouin community located east of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malehat, the General Supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated that Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, set up caravans and began working on the necessary infrastructure in the area, signaling the beginning of a new settlement outpost.

This move is part of Israel's efforts to seize more land and expand their colonization of the territory, as part of the larger "E1" colonial plan, which aims to sever the northern from the southern West Bank.

Malehat added that this development aligns with Israel's ongoing attempts to forcefully evacuate Bedouin communities, emphasizing that such actions represent a violation of international law. He also pointed out that the residents of Khan al-Ahmar have faced ongoing threats to their existence for years, as the area remains under constant risk of displacement.
