JENIN: Israeli colonists Thursday attacked a Palestinian house and torched a vehicle in the Jaba town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to eyewitnesses. They reported that colonists targeted the home of Aysar Saleh Khaliliya, physically assaulted his family members, and set fire to a vehicle belonging to his brother, Muntaser. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is a common occurrence in the West Bank and is seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities. The violence perpetrated by colonists includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among other acts. More than 700,000 Israeli colonists reside in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, which is considered a violation of international law.
