Israeli Colonists Attack Elderly Man and Young Farmer in Hebron

Hebron: An elderly Palestinian man and a young farmer were injured on Sunday when a group of colonists attacked them while they were picking grapes in the Khirbet al-Qat area, north of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Halhul Mayor Jamal Melhem stated that dozens of colonists physically assaulted 60-year-old Mustafa Abdel Qader Melhem and Ayed Yousef Melhem with stones and clubs, resulting in critical injuries.

He further mentioned that attacks by colonists have recently increased in areas near the illegal outpost of Karmei Tzur, located north of Hebron. This escalation is part of a strategy to restrict Palestinian farmers and prevent them from accessing their lands.

Medical sources at Hebron Governmental Hospital confirmed that the injured individuals were admitted with severe head injuries and received necessary medical treatment.
