Post: Israeli Colonists Attack and Injure Palestinian in Beita Town

Nablus: Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening attacked and injured a Palestinian in the Beita town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources. They reported that colonists entered the Qamas area on the outskirts of the town and assaulted a civilian, using pepper spray on his face.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the injured individual was swiftly transported to a nearby medical center for treatment. Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is common in the West Bank and is infrequently prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The violence perpetrated by the colonists includes incidents of property and mosque arson, stone-throwing, uprooting crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, a situation that violates international law.
