Israeli Colonists Assault Elderly Woman and Others Near Ramallah

Ramallah: An elderly Palestinian woman, her grandson, and two international volunteers were injured on Sunday morning after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in the village of al-Mughayyer, east of Ramallah. Local sources reported the incident.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the family of Rezq Abu Naeem was attacked by a group of colonists. The assailants beat Rezq's wife, Fidaa, breaking her arm, and assaulted their grandson, Rezq, with blows to the head.

In addition to the family, the colonists also targeted two international volunteers present on the village land, using sticks and stones. All four victims were transferred to the hospital, where their conditions were described as moderate to mild.

Al-Mughayyer and surrounding villages have been frequent targets of colonist violence in recent years. These incidents often include attacks on farmers, vandalism of property, and efforts to restrict access to agricultural land.

Such acts are part of a broader, state-backed campaign of repression and intimidation across the West Bank. This campaign has intensified with the ongoing expansion of settlements and outposts and the presence of armed colonist militias operating under Israeli military protection.
