SALFIT: Israeli bulldozers today uprooted hundreds of olive and almond trees in the town of Deir Istiya, west of Salfit, according to a local activist. Anti-settlement activist, Nazmi Salman, told WAFA that three bulldozers, backed by the occupation soldiers, bulldozed dozens of dunums of land and uprooted hundreds of trees in northern Deir Istiya. The bulldozers also destroyed several rainwater harvesting wells used by farmers for irrigation. The land is located near a pastoral colonial outpost established by colonists last October. Since then, the land owners have been banned access. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
