Israeli Authorities Seize Five Dunums of Land in Tubas

Tubas: Israeli occupation authorities have issued a decision to seize and confiscate lands belonging to the town of Tamoun, located southeast of Tubas. The decision involves the appropriation of 5 dunums and 217 meters in the Jalmat Asaf area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mutaz Basharat, who is responsible for the Jordan Valley file in the Tubas Governorate, reported that the so-called commander of the occupation army issued a military order targeting lands situated east of the illegal colony of Baq'ot. This colony is built on lands owned by local citizens in the area.

The recent decision follows a pattern of land seizures by occupation forces. Just yesterday, a military order was issued to confiscate more than eight dunams of land in Masafer Yatta, which is south of Hebron. These actions are part of a broader strategy, as evidenced by last month's expropriation of a total of 262 dunams of citizens' lands. This was executed through two separate orders aimed at expanding a colonial road north of Jerusalem.

The first of these orders targeted 258 dunams across the villages of Jaba', Kafr Aqab, Al-Ram, Mikhmas, and Qalandia in the Jerusalem governorate. This was intended to expand Road No. 45, which serves as a significant connection between Road 60 and the Qalandia military checkpoint. The second order involved the right to dispose of an additional 4.5 dunams of land for further expansion of the colonial road network.
