RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation authorities issued an order today to confiscate 29 dunums of Palestinian land in the towns of Sinjil and Turmus-Ayya, located north of Ramallah. Amir Dawood, the Director of Publishing and Documentation at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, told WAFA that Israeli authorities handed down a military order justifying the seizure of these lands until the end of 2026, citing security reasons. The purpose behind this move is to construct a barrier that would restrict the access of residents from both towns to the Nablus-Ramallah Road, located in close proximity to both towns. Dawood stated that the order effectively closes off lands facing the main road from the direction of Turmus Ayya, as well as those facing the road from the direction of Sinjil. The affected residents are now facing a potential barrier to their daily lives, as the occupation authorities move forward with their plans to implement the land confiscation order.
