Israeli Authorities Issue Demolition Notices Against Structures in Slafit and Bethlehem

Salfit: Israeli occupation authorities have issued notices for the demolition of several structures, including a fence and olive trees, in the Wadi Qana area of the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit. The notices demand the removal of a 100-meter fence and the uprooting of twelve olive trees, citing the area as a designated nature reserve.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-settlement activist Nazmi Salman reported that the Wadi Qana area has been a target for Israeli occupation and colonists, who are allowed to expand colonies on citizens' land. Landowners, however, are restricted from working there. Wadi Qana, which spans more than 10,000 dunams, was declared a nature reserve by the occupation in 1983. The area is currently encircled by nine illegal outposts and an Israeli army camp.

In a related development, Israeli occupation forces have also issued a demolition notice for a car wash in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem. The notice claims that the car wash lacks the necessary licensing.
