Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday began demolishing a restaurant in the area of Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem. Local sources said a crew from the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem arrived in the morning with heavy machinery and started demolishing Al-Ayed Restaurant, located in the Musrara neighborhood near Damascus Gate.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during a protest held by local residents against the demolition, Israeli police forces assaulted a Palestinian civilian.
