Israeli Authorities Demolish 15 Homes in Unrecognized Bedouin Village in Naqab

Naqab: Israeli bulldozers demolished 15 homes on Wednesday morning in the unrecognized Bedouin village of Arab al-Mask, located in the Naqab (Negev) region, displacing the entire community of approximately 100 residents. The homes belonged to the al-Mask family, who have lived in the area for generations.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the large-scale demolition was carried out following a decision by the Be'er Sheva District Court, which ordered the evacuation and destruction of all residential structures in the village. This decision has left the residents homeless and in a state of uncertainty about their future.

Witnesses reported that along with the homes, Israeli forces also destroyed tents and livestock pens in the Wadi Fa'i area, further impacting the livelihoods of the Bedouin community. The demolitions have drawn attention to the ongoing issues faced by unrecognized Bedouin villages in the region, which often lack basic services and legal recognition.
