Rafah: The Israeli military issued forcible eviction orders on Tuesday for residents in new areas of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip, shortly after issuing similar threats for areas in the northern part of the region. A spokesperson for the Israeli military released a statement demanding residents of Rafah to leave specific areas, including the neighborhoods of al-Nasr and Sawka, Al-Salam, Al-Manara, and Qizan Al-Najjar.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli military had issued a similar warning for residents in northern Gaza, ordering them to leave their homes and move to designated shelters. The recent orders have sparked a strong reaction from the Palestinian Presidency, which condemned the Israeli displacement orders as illegal and a clear violation of international law.
In a statement, the Palestinian Presidency warned about the potential consequences of the forced evacuation, holding the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the escalation. The Presidency emphasized that such actions will not bring security or stability to anyone in the region.
