Israeli Airstrikes Result in Fatalities and Injuries Across Gaza Strip

Gaza City: Israeli airstrikes on Monday evening resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians and caused injuries to others throughout the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, an Israeli combat drone targeted a Palestinian civilian south of Khan Younes city, leading to a fatality. Another airstrike by an Israeli drone in the al-Iqleimi area, southwest of Khan Younes, claimed the life of a second civilian. Additionally, a civilian succumbed to injuries sustained in a previous airstrike on a house in the city. Medical sources reported the arrival of another civilian's body at the Nasser Medical Complex, having been targeted by Israeli fighter jets in the ash-Shakush area, northwest of Rafah.

Meanwhile, a drone strike targeting a motorcycle east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip resulted in injuries to two civilians. According to medical sources, Israeli occupation forces killed over 45 Palestinians on Monday.

The escalation followed Israel's unilateral decision to end the Gaza ceasefire agreement, resuming its actions on the Strip on March 18. The renewed aggression has led to numerous airstrikes, with the death toll reaching 1,391 and 3,434 others wounded. Emergency teams continue efforts to recover those trapped beneath the rubble.

Concerns are mounting over the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip, given the ongoing siege and restrictions on medical and humanitarian aid. Since October 2023, the military campaign has killed 50,752 Palestinians, primarily women and children, and injured 115,475 others. Additionally, over 10,000 individuals remain unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble.

The conflict has triggered the displacement of nearly two million people, with many forced into Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest displacement since the 1948 Nakba.
