Gaza city: The Israeli occupation forces have intensified their attacks on the Gaza Strip, resulting in a series of airstrikes that have killed at least three civilians and injured dozens more across various locations in the area. The strikes have targeted both displaced persons and other civilians, exacerbating the already dire situation in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, ambulance crews have retrieved the bodies of two individuals near the Sabha Medical Center in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. This area was subjected to a violent Israeli airstrike, further escalating the crisis. Additionally, a citizen was killed and several others were wounded when a tent, housing displaced members of the Maqdad family, was bombed near the Al-Oyoun intersection with Al-Jalaa Street, west of Gaza City.
Earlier today, a medical source confirmed the deaths of three individuals and multiple injuries following an Israeli airstrike on a charity hospice north of Deir al-Balah city in central Gaza. This attack caused significant destruction to the hospice and its surrounding area. The ongoing aggression has led to a cumulative death toll of 57,418, with 136,261 individuals wounded since the conflict intensified on October 7, 2023. The continued targeting of civilians, infrastructure, and shelters has been a hallmark of the occupation forces' strategy.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals have received 80 deceased individuals and 304 wounded within the past 24 hours. Rescue efforts are hampered, with many victims still trapped under debris or lying on the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams struggle to access these areas due to the relentless bombing and precarious security conditions.
