Beirut: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz on Monday morning ordered attacks on Beirut's southern suburbs amid continued escalation and an expansion of ground operations in southern Lebanon. The southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital have witnessed a significant displacement of residents following threats of Israeli strikes, causing many to evacuate as a precautionary measure.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Deir al-Zahrani in the Nabatieh district, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including three women, and injuring 19 others, among them five children and six women.

Lebanon's National News Agency noted that two people were killed on Monday morning when a drone strike targeted their vehicle in the southern town of Briqaa. Additionally, a Syrian man was killed in a strike near Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital in Toul, while another drone strike was carried out on the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.

The towns of Harouf and Choukine were also subjected to Israeli airstrikes on Monday morning. Meanwhile, overnight raids on the town of Kfarsir resulted in the deaths of three Lebanese citizens.
