Beirut: Israeli warplanes intensified their airstrikes on Monday evening on a number of areas in southern Lebanon, resulting in the systematic destruction of homes and facilities in conjunction with artillery shelling targeting a number of villages. A Lebanese security source told the Petra correspondent in Beirut that "a series of air strikes targeted the towns of Naqoura, Haddatha, Rashaf, Tiri, Yuhmur al-Shaqif, Alaman, Burj al-Malouk, Tal al-Nahas, Tayr Harfa, Nahr al-Khardali, Deir Mimas and the outskirts of the town of Deir Saryan." The Ministry of Health announced in a statement on Monday, "The Israeli artillery shelling with phosphorus shells on Wazzani led to the injury of citizens with severe cases of suffocation that required their hospitalization in the intensive care unit."
