Dublin: The Irish government announced a funding package of £4 million, which will support children in Palestine to access education. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the announcement includes £3 million earmarked for children's education, £700,000 allocated to organizations working in the area of human rights, and £300,000 dedicated to supporting public services and vulnerable families. Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Harris, emphasized the importance of education in Ireland's partnership with Palestine. He highlighted ongoing support for UNRWA in Gaza, which continues to facilitate remote learning for nearly 300,000 children living in conflict conditions. Harris also noted that the coming days represent a critical opportunity to achieve a ceasefire, urging all parties involved to exert every effort towards reaching an agreement to end the war and alleviate suffering.
