Iraq submitted a proposal, during the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings, to hold an emergency Arab-Islamic summit, aiming to unify efforts to stop the Zionist aggression on Lebanon. Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said in a tweet on the (X) platform: "During the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, I submitted a proposal to hold an emergency Arab and Islamic summit aims to unify efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Lebanon." Hussein stressed the importance of urgent action and collective action to protect the brotherly Lebanese people and defend their legitimate rights in accordance with international laws.
