Iraqi Ambassador to Ankara, Majid Al-Lajmawi, received today, Tuesday, the family of the Iraqi citizen who was murdered in the Turkish city of Istanbul on September 1, 2024. Ambassador Al-Lajmawi offered his condolences to the family of the murdered man, stressing that the Embassy is following up with the competent Turkish authorities through diplomatic channels the circumstances of the case and the reasons that led to its occurrence. According to a statement by the Embassy, the Ambassador directed the consular section and the legal section at the Embassy to coordinate with the relevant Turkish authorities to follow up on the case in all its investigative and judicial stages and to find out the circumstances of the incident. For their part, the victim's family appreciated the role of the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara in communicating with them and providing the necessary support in following up on the case.
