A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "Minister Fuad Hussein received, today, a phone call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdel Aati, during which the bilateral relations between the two countries were reviewed and the importance of continuing coordination in the field of tripartite work that includes Iraq, Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was emphasized, and joint efforts to coordinate on the conditions in the region and exchange views with the aim of avoiding escalation and ensuring the intensification of efforts to spare the peoples of the region the scourge of wars.
