Iran’s Ambassador to Qatar: Qatar Is Reliable Mediator to Resolve Regional, International Issues

HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State of Qatar Ali Salehabadi affirmed that the State of Qatar has become a reliable mediator to resolve various regional and international conflicts, adding that the country plays a major positive role in resolving challenging issues around the globe. In exclusive statements, His Excellency told Qatar News Agency that, in the last decade, the State of Qatar has taken major steps to strengthen its position regionally and internationally through the implementation of a diplomatic policy, under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. In addition to using the negotiation technique in face-to-face political meetings, Qatar hosts various summits and conferences on current world issues that have attracted the attention of thinkers and researchers along with politicians, he added. His Excellency also said that the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran have had deep-rooted friendly relations for many years, indicating that, in recent years, these relations have reached the peak of strength in various fields, such as political, economic and cultural fields. The two countries continue to strengthen efforts to enhance and develop bilateral relations, he added, expressing his hope to witness a jump in the level of existing trade exchanges in the near future, especially in the field of economic relations.
