Baghdad, Masoud Pezeshkian took the constitutional oath as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and a number of regional and international guests. Pezeshkian confirmed in the oath he recited before the head of the judiciary that he will be a guardian of Islam, the Islamic Republic system and its constitution. The constitutional oath-taking ceremony was attended by senior officials in the Islamic Republic and hundreds of delegations from many countries of the world and extensive local and foreign media coverage.
