The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahwit Governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Zaikam, surveyed the destruction wrought by the torrential rains on homes, farmlands, and agricultural terraces in the Al-Qibla area of the Houra region in Milhan District. Al-Zaikam and the governor's undersecretaries Hammoud Shamlan and Al-Azi Al-Shajaf were briefed on the conditions of citizens affected by the floods. He praised the support provided by the government, the Zakat Authority and the Yemen Red Crescent Society, as well as the convoys provided by the people of the districts, and the opening of roads by the Emergency Central Intervention Unit. Al-Zaikam stressed the keenness of the governorate's leadership to provide all support and assistance to families affected by the floods and work to repair the damage they left behind.
