Sakhnin: Hundreds of Palestinians demonstrated in the cities of Sakhnin and Baqa al-Gharbiyyeh inside Israel on Wednesday, protesting the crime crisis and denouncing the Israeli police's negligence and complicity with organized crime, as daily protests continue across the Arab community.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in Sakhnin, hundreds of students, children, and residents participated in a protest organized by the local popular committee and Al-Hallan School. Organizers announced that a nationwide demonstration is scheduled for Saturday evening in Tel Aviv.
Protesters in both cities raised banners condemning crime, calling on the Israeli government and police to act to curb violence and ensure safety. Some signs read, 'Stop the war of crime,' and 'The government and police are partners in crime.'
In Baqa al-Gharbiyyeh, residents gathered in the town's center following a call by the local popular committee, rejecting policies that contribute to the spread of weapons and protesting the failure of authorities and police to effectively combat crime.
