According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Operations Room is managing a range of field interventions. Government teams and partners in Gaza are working to open roads, clear rubble, provide clean drinking water, and restore essential services such as communication, education, and healthcare. These efforts aim to facilitate the return of displaced Palestinians and ensure their safety.
The Ministry of Social Development is collaborating with Palestine Tomorrow for Social Development to establish 10 new camps for displaced individuals in Gaza and northern areas. They are distributing food parcels and hygiene kits to thousands of displaced families, providing clean drinking water in partnership with Action Against Hunger, and deploying mental health support teams. Additionally, they are coordinating with partners to launch water well projects and assisting displaced individuals separated from their families.
The Palestinian Water Authority is supplying significant quantities of water daily to various regions, repairing and operating seawater desalination plants, and conducting water quality monitoring. They are also repairing sanitary sewers and relocating electrical panels and generators to ensure continued water services.
The Arab and International Organization to Construct in Palestine, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, is executing road repair and rubble removal projects, distributing drinking water, and rehabilitating medical facilities. They are also involved in providing shelter and meals to displaced persons.
The Energy Authority and Electricity Distribution Company are inspecting the power plant, assessing damage, and preparing for repairs, while the Ministry of Public Works and Housing is coordinating damage assessment and shelter efforts. They have approved temporary shelter sites and are collaborating on rubble storage and debris clearance.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education is working on resuming education through a phased plan, assessing damaged schools, and facilitating shelter center planning. They are providing educational resources and planning for continuity.
The Ministry of Health is collaborating with international partners to deliver medical aid, establish a mobile field hospital, and distribute medical supplies. They are coordinating with organizations to provide prosthetic rehabilitation and support medical centers.
The Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy is restoring telecommunications services, repairing infrastructure, and expanding coverage. Meanwhile, the UNDP and the Arab and Islamic Funds Authority are coordinating debris removal and education support programs, as well as supplying hospitals with essential medicines.
The Ministry of Agriculture is providing agricultural supplies and support to farmers, assessing agricultural damages, and participating in humanitarian interventions. They are also involved in debris removal and road opening efforts.
Finally, the Ministry of Transport and Communications is participating in the Gaza Shelter Committee, ensuring shelter site readiness for displaced persons.
