The French Ministry of Defence Wednesday condemned the recent Israeli attacks on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) mission as a "violation of international law." According to France 24, the Ministry stated that the contributing European countries to UNIFIL are committed to supporting peacekeeping in southern Lebanon, noting that European defence Ministers condemned what it described as acts of intimidation, threats and attacks on UNIFIL peacekeepers.
