Nablus: Four Palestinian citizens, including a child, were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire during a raid on Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the incident unfolded when Israeli special forces stormed the al-Hashashin neighborhood inside the Balata refugee camp. The forces surrounded a house, and additional reinforcements were deployed, escalating the situation.
Amid Ahmed, director of the Red Crescent's Emergency and Ambulance Center in Nablus, reported that ambulance crews responded to the crisis, tending to a 15-year-old boy who suffered a gunshot wound to the knee inflicted by Israeli forces.
In addition to the teenager, a 21-year-old man was also injured during the raid. Two other children were harmed by the attack and were subsequently transported to a hospital for medical care.
Security sources further confirmed the detention of two siblings, Wiam and Islam Qaraan, during the raid on Balata camp, adding to the tense atmosphere in the area.
