RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu's use of a map that excluded the West Bank is a flouting of international legitimacy resolutions, the international will for peace and the signed agreements. The Ministry in a statement on Monday denounced the map presented by Netanyahu, in which he erased the West Bank, as a flagrant defiance of international efforts exerted to end the forcible displacement and genocide waged against the Palestinian people and revive the peace process based on the two-state solution. The Ministry said it views with great concern this flagrant violation of international law and attempts to deny the Palestinian existence and the just and legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people through forced displacement. The statement maintained that Netanyahu's map embodies the racist colonial policy practiced on the ground before the eyes of the world. The Ministry called on the international community to r espect its obligations and promptly implement the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) before it is too late.
