Foreign Minister stresses the importance of the African continent to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stressed the importance of the African continent for Iraq.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein, and in the presence of a number of members of the House of Representatives, undersecretaries and advanced cadres, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Africa Department, organized a dialogue seminar on the future of Iraqi-African relations, in which it hosted specialists from the Ministries of Defense, Trade and Oil and the Chancellery, National security as well as academic figures in political and strategic sciences.

The Minister spoke about the importance of the African continent to Iraq and the purposeful diplomacy led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the government program to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with various countries of the world.

For his part, the Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Muhammad Hussein Muhammad Bahr al-Uloom, spoke about the most important diplomatic stations for Iraq’s relations with the countries of the African continent and the future vision for developing those relations.

For their part, the guest lecturers presented the vision of their ministries to support Iraqi diplomacy in various fields, especially in the field of oil and economic cooperation.
